Short Biography

Mushfiqur Rahman is a Deputy Research Coordinator at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is an experienced project manager with a demonstrated history of working in public health research and non-governmental organizations. He has extensive first-hand experience in public health problems in Bangladesh and is skilled in implementing programs and research management. Additionally, his involvement with youth-led non-profit organizations gives him an edge in mentoring in a multidisciplinary, multi-ethnic environment. Apart from coordinating projects, he is a course instructor in several modules of the Master’s in Public Health (MPH) program held by BRAC JPGSPH. In addition, he has received professional training from J-PAL on quantitative tool designing, BRAC JPGSPH on Quantitative Research Methodology, and KIT Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam, on Control Strategies for communicable and non-communicable diseases.

  • 1) 2019 - Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain Best Teaching Fellow Award: Awarded at 14th Cohort MPH Graduation Ceremony organized by BRAC JPGSPH. Teaching Fellow is responsible for facilitating and assisting faculties and students through different Masters in Public Health Program courses. 2) 2011 - Saudi Aramco World Magazines: Featured in the Saudi Aramco World Magazine, May/June 2011 issue focusing on my efforts with children from a slum in Agargaon to assume leadership roles within their communities.
