Giovanni D'Ambrosio is a Research Coordinator at the James P Grant School of Public Health at the BRAC University. His research interests concern development, gender, health economics, and impact evaluation. Born in a small town in northern Italy, Giovanni studied Economics and Finance at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He later joined the University of Mannheim, Germany, to obtain a Master of Science in Economics. Giovanni supplemented his Master's with an internship at the Ifo Center for Labor and Demographic Economics and worked as a research assistant at ZEW (Public procurement department) and Bonn University. In his thesis, he explored the causal effect of education on intimate partner violence in a Sub-Saharan country. Currently, Giovanni is working on the Gender Based Violence Project under the supervision of Nina Buchmann (Stanford University), Paula López-Peña (Queen's University), and Atonu Rabbani (James P Grant School of Public Health at the BRAC University). In his leisure time, Giovanni enjoys nature and long walks.
