Short Biography

Mr. Mannan has been working as an Anthropologist and Qualitative Researcher for more than four years on different topics among the various vulnerable populations in the country. He has worked with Rohingyas, urban populations, RMG workers, climate migrants, and various indigenous groups as a researcher of different government and non-government organizations & academic institutions. His areas of interest are mainly Public Health, Development, Political Economy, Religion & Rituals, State & Margin, Migration & Diaspora, etc. Besides, his research and publications integrate disciplinary tools from Anthropology, Sociology, and Public Health. He is currently working as a Research Assistant at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. He has completed his graduation and post-graduation from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Chittagong. Along with that, he has a good command of qualitative Data Analyzing, Data Coding, and Data Reporting. Expert in new technologies, including Nvivo, Microsoft Office, Operating Systems, Software Programming, etc. He has a special interest in ethnographic research, organizing, community development work, and youth leading.
